Following your Base training you enter the Build phase. In the build phase of training there is an increase in the intensity and duration of workouts to improve aerobic capacity and muscular endurance and prepare the body for competition.

Some key elements of the Build phase may include increasing the volume and intensity of workouts, incorporating more high-intensity interval training, and practicing race-specific efforts to improve performance in events.
